Tengah BTO flats will be built using latest innovation

Singapore. As a way to help HDB flat applicants, on 20 November, the Minister for National Development Desmond Lee unveiled that they are working on building more flats.

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) said on a media fact sheet that unveiled two projects in Tengah, the Garden Waterfront I & II offering 2077 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats with both 3.3-year waiting times.

The two projects were among the ten projects launched in November BTO Sales by HDB.

According to HDB, the projects would consist of 18 residential buildings with 2-room flexi, 3-room, 4-room, and 5-room apartments, as well as some rental flats at Garden Waterfront I @ Tengah.

“The large offering in the non-mature estate of Tengah will cater to the diverse needs of flat-buyers, and provide ample affordable flat options with short waiting times for first-time applicants,” said HDB.

With these two projects, Tengah would have almost 17,000 units available since the November 2018 launch of the first BTO project Plantation Grove.

The two projects at Tengah are HDB’s Construction Transformation Projects (CTP).

HDB said that CTP will be using 3D concrete printing for landscape features using special fibre-glass reinforced concrete material to provide structural strength.
