The ranking was made based on 55 metrics across six pillars, and it provides insights into the overall allure of these global destinations.

The criteria for evaluation include economic and business performance, tourism metrics, infrastructure, policy, attractiveness, health and safety, and sustainability.

Singapore’s stellar performance in tourism policy, attractiveness, and the health and safety domain has earned it the top position in Southeast Asia.

The Top 20 list displayed a robust presence of Asian cities, with Tokyo claiming the 4th spot, followed by Seoul (14th), Osaka (16th), and Hong Kong (17th).

The surge in Asian representation was influenced by the swift rebound post-pandemic and the resumption of activities in the Greater China region, attracting a significant influx of tourists to these vibrant cities.
