Among all COEs, only motorcycle premiums decreased in recent tender

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums closed mostly at higher amounts in the 6 September bidding exercise, with Category B and Open Category certificates setting a new record.

Category A cars premium for those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp closed at S$101,000, up from S$100,000 in the previous exercise.

Meanwhile, premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B increased to S$134,889, breaking the S$129,890 record in the last tender. 

COEs for commercial vehicles including goods vehicles and buses, settled at S$82,889 from S$82,801.

Motorcycle premiums closed at S$10,901 from S$11,402 in the last exercise.

Lastly, Open category COEs which can be used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for large cars, increased for the fourth time in a row to S$137,000. This is a new record high from S$131,000 in the previous bidding exercise.

In this bidding exercise, 2,722 bids were received, with a quota of 1,933 available COEs.
