LTA adjusts the ERP rate in three gantries

In an effort to manage traffic congestion during the morning commute, ERP rates will increase by S$1 at three expressway locations.

More from OMY: 6 locations in Singapore to increase ERP charges by S$1, some gantries to offer lower rates on school holidays

This includes the KPE (ECP) after Defu Flyover, where the ERP change will rise to S$6 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. This matches the highest ERP charged rates pre-COVID.

According to the LTA, the new rate is based on its monitoring of traffic conditions in July. The authority has observed traffic building up at different stretches of expressways. The ERP charges will be adjusted at three locations in four specified periods to manage congestion.

Meanwhile, rates remain unchanged for other previously announced gantries and timeslots.

“With these adjustments, the number of locations and time slots charged is still lower than the number charged pre-COVID,” stated the LTA.

“LTA will continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion levels closely and assess if ERP rates need to be further adjusted,” the authority added.
